Recreational Opening Hours

Please note that the last sessions will commence 1 hour before the closing times listed below. The slope will not be available to the public between 6.00 pm - 7.30 pm on Tuesday evenings during term time to accommodate Cardiff Ski Club race training sessions. On Saturday and Sunday mornings until 12 noon the slope is open for Junior Ski Club only.

In the interest of safety it is essential that complete beginners attend lessons before using the slope. All skiers who are unable to control their speed and change direction must stay within the designated beginner area. All recreational snowboarders must hold proficiency cards.

Winter Season - (1st Oct - 31st Mar)

Monday - Friday, 12 noon - 9.45 pm
Saturday & Sunday, 9.45 am - 5.45 pm
(Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Year's Day)

Summer Season - (1st Apr - 30th Sept)

Tuesday - Friday, 12 noon - 8.45 pm
Saturday & Sunday, 10.00 am - 5.45 pm
(Closed on Mondays)

Please note that recreational skiing and boarding practice is not available at the same time as tubing. During the summer season you are advised to telephone us beforehand if you wish to ski or board recreationally in order to check availability.

Profile

Insole Court is a Victorian mansion house on the western side of Llandaff. Built in 1850, it is a two storey romantic gothic style building, offering a diverse programme of activities including conferences, weddings, classes and many other bespoke functions. Insole Court is a fantastic venue to hire, blending historic indoor and outdoor features with all the facilities you would expect from a modern building.

Additional Information

With all the character of a 19th century mansion house, Insole Court is an ideal venue for small functions and meetings, we can also provide cold buffets on request.

At the heart of the community, the Insole Court Community Centre offers a diverse range of classes and activities to suit everyone.

We opened in 1983 and have strong community links with local schools and Community Groups. We have disabled access to our swimming pool and a lift to the 1st floor.

Activity programme for all ages from women's mornings with crèche to 50 plus activity mornings. Junior activities include gymnastics, trampolining and soccer with an extensive junior holiday programme.

Food and drink

Cafeteria with well stocked vending machines and a lounge bar which can provide a selection of lunches and sandwiches.
Junior birthday party packages are available which include an activity of your choice plus party food. We can also cater for functions, wedding parties, etc in our activity area and lounge bar.

Party time with us

Why have all the mess at home when you can have a fun party here. We will organise the party for you all you have to do is pick the activity.Let us have the hassle so that you can enjoy the day. Why not choose from a variety of birthday parties and we will do the rest.

Additional information

We have extensive Squash Leagues including a Junior Squash club and league. On Monday afternoons we run an activity session for people with learning/physical disabilities. We also provide NPLQ Courses to enable people to qualify as Swimming Pool lifeguards. For further information contact the Centre.

We have ample parking with designated disabled bays and assistance if required.
