Try your hand at these: · arial - jump - flip - grab - slide - stall - halfpipe
These are all terms you may have heard before, but soon you'll be familiar with them and bragging about your skills down at your local skatepark.
Off the street and into the skatepark
Skateparks are a great place to meet up with friends, catch up on all the gossip and brush up on those skating skills.... it's a lot safer too!
Did you know...
tricks that use ramps (usually halfpipe) are known as vert tricks
tricks performed on the flat or off curbs or rails are known as street tricks
skateboarding was invented as far back as the 1930s. Just imagine what the boards looked like!
Mobile ramps
In addition to our usual Skateparks we also have a selection of mobile ramps which tour the city to provide skating facilities where none usually exist. These visits often take place in school holidays to give a greater range of activities.
Please keep and eye out for the timetable link to see when the ramp is coming to a park near you.
